August 2014 – May 2015
Scope of Webb Dsgn
After being a member of the ActiveWorlds community since 2001, I developed a community-operated website called AWCom (AWCommunity) that cataloged places and worlds within ActiveWorlds, along with panoramas and, in some cases, interactive “street view” sequences. This community website was widely considered successful, and led to me being hired to develop ActiveWorlds.com with the same approach.
In August 2014, with one day’s notice, I launched the new ActiveWorlds.com, which featured a complete transition of content from the AWCom project. Over the next several months, I improved on the website’s design and layout, added new content, and revised existing content under the direction of Richard Noll.
In May 2015, I resigned from the position. ActiveWorlds.com continues to use my design, although it has not been maintained since then.
